Salary: £28,000 - £33,000
Focus: product development, product ownership, business generation
Location: home-based with travel across England and Wales, candidate should be based in either: Cardiff, London, Glasgow or within approx. 1 hour’s travel of these options.
We are a start-up with fast-paced working practices and a team which is based across the United Kingdom. We provide professional services including strategy consultancy, management consultancy, bid-writing, project management, research and advisory across the education and related sectors. Our clients span the market, from schools and academy trusts to charities, to Local Authorities, to housing developers.
Some of our current commissions include:
* writing applications to open new mainstream and special schools
* project management of academy mergers and new school pre-opening
* strategic consultancy to support academy trusts to grow
* research in deprived communities around their childcare needs
* supporting Trusts with leadership reorganisation to boost outcomes for students
* advising international clients on educational strategies for new communities.

This opportunity is for a consultant role (permanent contract) within our Growth Team. The start date will be agreed between PAG and the successful candidate, and is likely to be between 1st September and 1st October 2024.
You will work closely with our Head of Marketing, Head of Partnerships and our Directors to the achieve the business generation and growth goals of the business. This will include co-owning and developing a suite of products with our consulting team, identifying and engaging with potential clients or audiences and acting as a radar for opportunities for the business. You will own the internal accountability for our tendering process and, with training, be able to manage this important aspect of our business. More broadly, our consultants contribute to all aspects of our business and there is plentiful opportunity to contribute to strategic planning.

The successful candidate will ideally be a graduate who is able demonstrate a strong interest in education and knowledge of the UK education system. They will have at least some experience in the workplace (in either a full time or part time position), potentially in education, business development, marketing, consultancy or a start-up. They will have demonstrable workplace experience of audience development and engagement.
We are a politically broad church, and you must be able to work a range of clients across the political spectrum, developing a range of products and services that are reflective of the needs of the market and the political and policy environment of the moment.

* A proficient user of the Microsoft Office Suite
* The ability to confidently and independently manage a range of stakeholders, both external and internal
Ideally, you can also demonstrate:
* Experience of working with a CRM or similar platform
* Experience of using a creative suite such as Adobe Photoshop, Canva
