Digital Signal Processing Engineer
Salary: Circa £55,000 depending on experience
Location: Bristol / Stevenage
Relocation package may be available
Working Pattern: Dynamic (hybrid) working – typically 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum, successful candidates must undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks, managed by the Personnel Security Team.
The Opportunity
Join our client’s rapidly growing Data Link Systems organisation, where they provide a world-leading missile data link capability. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Digital Signal Processing Engineer to play a pivotal role in their innovative team.
You will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of waveform and algorithm solutions for weapons system products.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Real-time digital signal processing systems
* Waveform design and implementation
* Waveform modelling
* System-level RF modelling
* Systems modelling and autocode generation
* Requirements management and systems design
* Technical leadership of junior engineers
You’ll be part of a fast-paced product area, working on both new and established projects, driving product design solutions that meet both our client’s and customer requirements in terms of schedule and cost.

What We’re Looking for From You
* Ideally degree qualified in a STEM subject with a strong understanding of DSP algorithms.
* A solid background in signal processing across the entire product life cycle.
* Experience in Firmware coding for DSP systems is beneficial.
* Proficient with Matlab and Simulink. Experience with C++ is desirable.
* Ability to work independently within a multi-skilled team, with a strong commitment to achieving project goals.
* Background in technical investigations, providing assessments, and proposing innovative design solutions.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver high-quality reports and presentations to both internal and external stakeholders.
