Valid Drivers Licence: Must have a clean, valid drivers licence and a reliable driving record. Experience: Previous experience as a driver, preferably in a healthcare, public service or patient transport role, is an asset. Knowledge of Basic Patient Care: While formal medical training is not required, experience or knowledge of assisting patients with mobility, post-hospital care, or other health-related tasks is preferred. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with patients, their families, and healthcare providers. Physical Fitness: Must be able to assist patients with mobility, lift items as necessary, and help with basic physical tasks such as assisting with entry/exit from the vehicle and home. The vehicle will be a WAV Wheelchair Access Vehicle. Background Check: Must pass an enhanced DBS check as part of the hiring process.
