Senior Health & Safety Consultant - Fire Specialist
Salary: £50-60k (experience dependent) + car allowance

Our client, a leading UK consultancy specialising in Health and Safety, Project Management, Asset and Property Management, and Health and Safety Training, is seeking a Senior Health and Safety Consultant. The consultancy offers a complete service, delivering competent, professional support to clients across the globe.
Reporting to the Associate Director - Head of Health and Safety, this role is responsible for providing accurate, relevant, and pragmatic health and safety advice to their clients across a diverse range of sectors, such as education, healthcare, construction, retail, and aviation. The Senior Health and Safety Consultant will be pivotal in delivering high-quality consultancy services, conducting risk assessments, and advising clients on their duties under the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015 (CDM).
Skills required for Senior Health and Safety Consultant:
1. Minimum NEBOSH Diploma (preferred) or equivalent NVQ
2. NEBOSH Construction Certificate or relevant construction experience
3. NEBOSH Fire, Fire Manager Advanced Certificate (member of IFE preferred)
4. Experience in conducting fire risk assessments and fire strategy (preferred)
5. Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH as a minimum) (Chartered preferred)
6. Training Qualification (Desirable), experience delivering IOSH MS and WS
7. Must have Consultancy experience
8. Good understanding of construction and built environment (FM/estates) essential
9. Good corporate H&S experience - developing and implementing H&S Management Systems
10. SHE Audit experience
11. Good knowledge of CDM Regulations essential with experience in undertaking the role of either Principal Designer/PD Advisor/CDMA
12. Experience in undertaking workplace audits and inspections of construction sites (desirable)
13. Good communication skills essential with the ability to contribute effectively to client meetings
14. Must be client-facing with good interpersonal skills and a client-focused approach
15. Ability to write professional reports to a high standard of English with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products essential
16. Ability to work under pressure, manage time effectively, and oversee own diary (essential)
17. Business Development Experience
18. Good IT Skills
19. Driving licence holder willing to travel across the UK
