As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee daily production operations, manage a team of production operatives, and drive efficiency, quality, and safety in line with TE Connectivity's standards. You will also be responsible for fostering a culture of continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities - Maintain a safe and compliant work environment by implementing and enforcing safety standards, procedures, and incident management protocols. - Provide leadership and direct management of production operatives, including training plans, one-on-one development, performance management, and team development initiatives. - Maximize machine uptime and efficiency, troubleshooting and escalating issues as needed to ensure smooth operations. - Lead and participate in daily operations meetings, collaborating with shop floor teams and plant management to report on KPIs and drive improvement actions. - Foster a culture of continuous improvement, applying Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and quality. - Act as a liaison between shifts and departments, ensuring effective communication of key information, challenges, decisions, and best practices. - Manage production costs within budget constraints, monitoring expenses to ensure financial control. - Collaborate closely with Quality, Planning, EHS, and Engineering teams to align production with company objectives and compliance requirements. - Work with the Planning Department to develop efficient production cycles that meet customer demand while optimizing efficiency. Your ideal background - Proven leadership and people management experience in a manufacturing environment. - Strong communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels. - Problem-solving expertise with the ability to lead root cause analysis initiatives. - Effective time management skills and the ability to work under deadlines. - Experience working in a manufacturing facility. - IOSH training is desirable (can be provided if needed). - Ability to manage complexity, prioritize tasks, and drive results. - Self-motivated, adaptable, and enthusiastic team player. - Proficiency in IT systems, with strong Excel skills being highly advantageous.
