Location: The Courtyard, Pudding Lane, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 1PA
Qualifications needed:
1. Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
2. Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this
3. Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in children, including neurodevelopmental disorders
4. At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed-term specialty trainee or shall have equivalent experience and competencies

We are currently recruiting for a Community CAMHS Specialty Doctor position in the Maidstone CAMHS Community Team. This is a new post, created to provide high-quality care.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
You will be expected to:
1. Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to children and young people with mental health needs, across Maidstone
2. Provide senior medical support to the team and direct input on clinical cases
3. Provide guidance and supervision to the team
4. Work directly with children and young people and their families and liaise with other external CAMHS mental health providers
5. Work alongside the CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrists and another Specialty Doctor within the service
6. Develop links with local acute trusts’ A&E departments and inpatient wards
7. Be responsible for patients allocated to them and will assess, manage, plan, and deliver care
8. Offer clinical supervision and teaching to the core trainee on placement
9. Support peers and the team manager and be an effective team member while working on their own initiative
10. Supervise junior colleagues and liaise with other health and social professionals and agencies
