The successful candidate will report into the Maintenance Manager and will be accountable for all reactive and proactive maintenance work across the site, ensuring to deliver it in a timely manner and to the highest possible standards. The role will involve the installation, maintenance, improvement and repair of all plant and equipment ensuring production efficiency can be met within a safe well-presented facility. Respond to technical issues affecting production and maintain electrical and mechanical services through Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM). Main Duties: Ensure that all maintenance work is carried out with due regard to the safety of employees adhering to relevant regulations. Provide reactive and planned maintenance. Efficiency improvements by reducing downtime. Maintain all maintenance records, ensuring all documentation is in place and up to date. Build and maintain a cost-effective spare parts store. Work with production to reduce machine and processing problems in order to improve output efficiency. Report breakdown causes, equipment faults and concerns to management. Assist with the moving, installation, repositioning of machines and equipment. Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules as necessary. Fault-finding diagnostics, electrical, mechanical on high-speed process-lines. Essential Criteria: Qualified multi-skilled engineer, with previous working experience gained in a Production environment. Apprentice trained or NVQ Level 2 in Engineering. Must have the ability to work on their own initiative and be a confident decision maker. A minimum of two years’ post apprenticeship experience. Knowledge of PLCs/Control panel diagnostics and schematic drawings Must be a flexible individual as some overtime working will be required. The ability to work calmly under pressure and work independently with minimal supervision.
