Job Description: The Production Engineer will play a vital role in the optimisation, design, and implementation of manufacturing processes within the business. This position requires working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement. The Production Engineer will be responsible for managing a variety of assembly processes, including CNC routing, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and electrical assembly. Key Responsibilities: Take ownership of continuous improvement for existing machines and processes. Select and develop new assembly processes and techniques. Specify and develop new equipment and tooling. Define and optimise production procedures to maximise efficiency and reduce costs. Train staff on new and existing production processes. Collaborate with design engineers and management to implement innovative manufacturing technologies. Lead machine and process introduction, including supplier selection, PFMEA, concept design, factory layout, and cycle time optimisation. Resolve quality issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively. Generate installation documents, standard operating procedures, and technical literature for new and existing products. Skills & Experience: Minimum of HNC/HND qualification or equivalent. At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the automotive or related industry. Technical background with hands-on experience in designing and setting up production lines. Proficiency in software tools such as MS Office, 2D/3D CAD (SolidEdge preferred). Why Should You Apply?
