An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated PE Teacher to join Wreake Valley on a fixed term basis until 23rd August 2026 to cover a period of maternity leave. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed ECT/Classroom Teacher who is enthusiastic about physical education and inspiring students to lead an active and healthy lifestyle.
The successful candidate will have the ability to plan and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across KS3 and KS4. You will be able to demonstrate experience of achieving positive outcomes for pupils, as well as being passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people.
As a committed team player, you will have excellent organisational skills and the natural ability to motivate both pupils and peers. This role is a rewarding one with a successful candidate having the opportunity to be part of a supportive team and have access to highly supportive subject mentoring with a strong professional development programme to ensure that Teachers Standards are well developed.
Teaching experience will not be a determining factor – we welcome applications from newly qualified teachers (ECT’s) as well as more experienced candidates.

1. Possess excellent subject knowledge with the ability to articulate their expertise within their teaching

3. Possess the ability to teach high quality lessons and consistently provide learning opportunities that progresses students’ learning and achievements
4. Be a team player, working alongside support staff and other teaching colleagues effectively.
