Where you will be working Location: Green Arbour Road, Thurcroft, S66 9LY Kingswood House is a residential service with nursing for adults with a Learning Disability and/or Autism with a range of associated needs. It’s been designed to meet the needs of the local area for a specialist service to support people with ongoing complex needs and challenging behaviours who are stepping down from hospital or to avoid an inappropriate admission to hospital to enable them to return to their home area. This small service is made up of six individual apartments which allow people to live in their own home setting and be provided with person centred care, whilst having access to a range of communal facilities to avoid isolation. It’s in the heart of the local community within walking distance of a full range of local facilities and resources. You will receive a structured and thorough induction training programme before working with the residents, which includes a focus on positive behavioural support and training in the management of aggression and other behaviours of challenge, alongside specialist training in Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Mental Health.
