Their Reading office seeks a motivated and experienced Associate Town Planner to join their talented team.
As an Associate Town Planner, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert planning advice and delivering successful outcomes for a diverse range of projects. You will work closely with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure that planning processes are navigated smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing and delivering a variety of planning projects from inception to completion.
2. Providing expert planning advice to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
3. Preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals, and development proposals.
4. Conducting site appraisals and feasibility studies.
5. Engaging in public consultations and community engagement activities.
6. Collaborating with other departments to ensure integrated and cohesive project delivery.
7. Keeping up-to-date with planning legislation and policy changes.
8. Mentoring and supporting junior team members.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
2. Chartered Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
3. Significant experience in a town planning role, preferably within a consultancy environment.
4. Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation, policy, and procedures.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
9. Proficiency in relevant planning software and tools.
