Electronics Design Engineer – Great Yarmouth, Norfolk – Permanent up to £55k + Bonus
A chance to work on interesting and varied R&D projects for a small privately owned company who are experts in sonar technology.
They provide high-quality innovative sonar technology solutions for survey applications spanning inland waterways, inshore, nearshore and offshore environments to full ocean depth.
They specialise in the design, development, manufacture, and commissioning of advanced side scan, bathymetry, and sub-bottom profiling sonar-systems.

You will be part of a design team working on the next generation of sonar instrumentation.
You’ll be involved in a wide variety of tasks from Creation of Schematics & multi-layer PCB designs, design reviews, test and support. The role does focus on R&D however and the company has a solid roadmap of interesting new projects coming up.
The successful candidate should have solid experience in design and testing mixed signal products that include SOC, FPGA’s, control & logic systems, switching power supplies, analogue amplifiers, isolated systems and transducer power driver stages.
Any of the below experience is also beneficial but not essential:
-Embedded C/C++ or VHDL development
-The company uses Altium but training can be provided if you don’t yet
-Communication protocols such as PI, I2C, Ethernet, IP (TCP/UDP/ICMP), RS-232 etc
-Matlab and DSP knowledge
