Duties and Responsibilities
Previous experience working within a warehouse or third-party logistics (3PL) environment is essential.
You will be required to coordinate with haulers and transport carriers, arranging collections and deliveries.
The role involves preparing, printing, and attaching labels to goods for storage or dispatch.
Accurate input of data into warehouse management systems (WMS) is crucial.
The role will also involve performing a variety of general administrative duties, such as handling emails, managing files and documentation, maintaining spreadsheets, and assisting with the overall management of warehouse operations.
You will be required to work on a specialised flow system that is unique to Metro's operations.
Candidate Requirements
High level of accuracy is essential in tasks such as data entry, labelling, and document management to prevent errors in inventory control and shipping.
A good level of written and spoken English is required to effectively communicate with haulers, team members, and management, as well as to handle documentation and data entry tasks.
Candidates must have prior experience in a similar role, particularly in warehouse or 3PL environments.
