Nicholas Hendry is currently working with a well-known, Glenrothes-based business that is currently enjoying a period of sustained growth. Due to recent plans to consolidate the existing finance teams into one location, our client is looking to hire an experienced Accounts & Payroll assistant to join the team.
To be successful in this post, you'll need to have previous experience in a similar role, specifically where you have been responsible for a range of transactional finance duties, such as, Purchase & Sales ledger invoice processing, Bank Reconciliation, End-to-End Payroll processing & Ad-hoc assistance with Month-end tasks.
This is a varied position, joining a multiskilled team and to some extent this post will be built around the successful candidate’s previous experience, however, the role will broadly cover the following responsibilities:
Payroll Support
* Process monthly salaries for c.150+ employees
* Ensure payroll compliance, issuing AE letters for pension scheme, P45’s
* Maintain company pension portal, new starts, leavers and upload contributions
* Prepare payroll third party payment requests
* Primary point of escalation for all day-to-day payroll issues
Accounts Payable Support
* Assist with processing of invoices/credit notes/payments
* Ensure vendor account balances are correct and accurate
* General Tasks
* Maintain the company’s bank accounts and prepare bank reconciliations.
* Prepare and process month end journals and assist with month end activities
* Identify and help implement process improvements
* Support finance team with ad-hoc activities and projects
* Liaise with finance and operational teams as required
