Mechanical Maintenance Operative - Contract Opportunity
Carbon60 are looking for a Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias to join their client's team and play a vital role in maintaining their building services, systems, and plant equipment.
This role will include carrying out a range of programmed, planned, and reactive maintenance and repair tasks. This will include work on HVAC systems, plumbing, glazing, heating, and more. You will also interface with customers, diagnose faults, and assist other tradespeople as needed.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in mechanical maintenance, a good understanding of building services, and the ability to work flexibly as part of a multi-skilled team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out programmed, PPM, and reactive mechanical maintenance and repairs
- Maintain and repair HVAC systems, plumbing, glazing, and heating equipment
- Investigate, diagnose, and repair faults, and respond to breakdowns and service requests
- Modify existing plant, equipment, controls, and distribution systems as required
- Perform appropriate testing and inspections, and prepare equipment for statutory inspections
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with procedures, safe working practices, and statutory requirements
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, and assist with work/time recording
About the role:
Pay rate: up to £21 per hour PAYE
Contract: 3 months (with possibility of extension)
Shifts:
4 days on, 4 days off
12 hour shifts 7am-7pm
