We are seeking a Strategic Insight Director to join the Retail team, leading a portfolio of clients including our largest retailer, Tesco, as well as Co-op, Iceland, and our high-profile investment community of financial institutes and city banks.
You will manage a team to inspire first class client service, exceptional revenue growth, securing contract renewals and ensuring continual people development.
As part of the retail senior leadership team, you will help to shape the success of the whole team and be given multiple opportunities to drive your own personal development. You will contribute to the wider success of the RFMCG team by playing an active role in the team growth plan.
The successful candidate will have a positive attitude and a passion for helping others succeed. You will have proven experience of driving commercial growth and developing individuals within your team.
Key Outcomes
* Clients: Overall senior lead for portfolio of accounts, supporting a team of CIDs, CM’s, CE’ and CA’s. Responsibility for service review meetings, the account planning process, contract negotiations, senior level presentations and targeted network expansion.
* Insights: support and coach the team to deliver excellent insight.
* Service development & innovation / data quality: Contributing ideas for improving our service, highlighting any areas of concern, working with the teams to agree solutions and communicate to clients.
* Commercials: Ownership of the commercial target and forecasts, handling renewals and team pipeline. Leading by example with commercial excellence. Coaching others to spot opportunities and convert to sales. Supporting the BUDs with driving overall commercial success across retail.
* Team: Developing and mentoring a group of dedicated and passionate individuals, driving engagement, and encouraging a culture of curiosity, learning and collaboration. Contributing to the overall culture and growth of the wider retail team.
* Thought leadership: Working with the rest of the team to contribute to provoking and enlightening thought leadership.
Key Capabilities
* Proven experience in consumer insights or market research roles (either agency or client side).
* A strong people focus with experience of motivating & leading teams towards a shared vision.
* Proven commercial track record of revenue management & delivering client growth.
* Confident, with the ability to deliver presentations and express an opinion to senior internal and external audiences with credibility.
* Experience of delivering service excellence to clients both personally & through others.
* Willing to embrace, drive and suggest change.
