Job Description
We are seeking a experienced Chef/Cook Supervisor to join our culinary team in Hereford, United Kingdom. As a Chef/Cook Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and leading a small team.
* Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
* Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health and safety standards
* Collaborate with management to improve kitchen processes and customer satisfaction
* Adhere to budgetary guidelines.
* Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise in the kitchen promptly and professionally
* Participate in menu tastings and quality control checks
Qualifications
* Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen setting
* Previous supervisory experience in a culinary role would be advantageous
* Strong knowledge of British and international cuisines
* Proficiency in kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
* Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
* Valid Food Safety and Hygiene certification would be advantageous
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Knowledge of dietary requirements and allergen management
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
