We have a new opportunity to be part of the Finance team in the role of Finance Analyst – Technical & Operations to actively contribute to the team’s objectives by analysing and continuously improving financial data, to aid quick decision making, forecasting and maximisation of cost cap activities.
You will be responsible for:
* Analysing and reporting on various data sets, including comparisons of budgets, forecasts, projects, and other data sets.
* Assisting production of costing models, including budgets, forecasts and monthly management accounts and report on them to understand trends, causes, mitigations.
* Proactively understanding the operational transactions and financial impact of them in order to guide data input, process and maximise efficiency.
* Working with FP&A and other finance colleagues to improve integration of reports into cost models (forecast, exec packs etc) and automate where possible.
* Building reports to visualise finance operations and technical data (e.g., make or buy, qty parts made, development vs go racing).
* Contributing to housekeeping of timely and accurate inputs to data, helping to educate the wider business on impact of robust data.
* Assisting with integration of the ERP system to ensure relevant data and reports are available for the finance team, capitalising on opportunities for efficiency and automation.
* Supporting business cases as required, providing insightful analysis with data (capex/spend to save/business cases).
* Assisting with enabling transparent and timely reporting on stock aging, obsolescence, profile, areas of risk, BoM etc.
* Working closely with cost engineers, FBP and AFBP to improve all data inputs and output, ensuring value add at every opportunity.
What you will need to be successful in this role:
* Ability to prioritise with excellent time management skills.
* Proven track record of analysis and reporting work.
* Motorsport or manufacturing experience advantageous.
* Well organised with ability to manage several tasks working to tight deadlines.
* Have a hands on, practical, and logical approach.
* Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to think outside the box and challenge the status quo.
* Confident with Excel and quick learner on ERP.
* Be confident under pressure and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
* Great verbal and written communication skills.
This is a full-time office-based role based at our campus in Silverstone, with additional requirement to travel to other locations where necessary.
