Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 5 Registered Nurse to become part of the Gastroenterology and Medical Ambulatory Care Unit Team based at the Royal Gwent Hospital Newport.
The Unit is Nurse Led and looks after patients with Gastroenterology, Liver, Inflammatory Bowel Disease and some General Medical Conditions including infusions, blood transfusions, ascitic drains and acute reviews. Outpatient clinics also take place on the unit.

You must have cannulation, venepuncture and IV medications training.
The role is for 24 hours per week to the needs of the service with no nights, weekends or bank holidays.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the IBD Nursing Team which is part of the Gastroenterology Directorate. We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join us in providing care and support to our patients receiving infusion-based treatments. The role is patient facing and requires proficiency in cannulation, venipuncture and intravenous therapies. There is an administrative component to the role which includes providing support to the IBD helpline which receives enquires via telephone and email, along with assisting with the monitoring of laboratory results.
You will need to be prepared to work on any of the hospital sites within the Trust.
