Ourclient is dedicated to creating lasting impacts for those facingpoverty for two decades and are now seeking an experiencedAssistant Compnay Secretary/BoardAdministrator.
Keyresponsibilities will include but are not limitedto:
Board/Trust FundSupport:
* Coordinateand schedule board/trust fund meetings and sub committees includingpreparing meeting agendas distributing materials and takingminutes.
* Support board members intheir roles providing administrative assistance and facilitatingcommunication.
GovernanceandCompliance:
* Ensurecompliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to boardoperations.
* Assist with board memberonboarding and orientation including providing necessary documentsinformation and training.
* Maintain acomprehensive understanding of the organisations articles policiesand procedures and ensure adherence tothem.
CommunicationandCoordination:
* Serveas the primary point of contact for board members facilitatingcommunication and responding to inquiries in a timelymanner.
* Coordinate and distributeboardrelated communications including meeting notices agendasminutes and other relevantinformation.
* Collaborate withinternal stakeholders to gather information and provide updates tothe board on organizational activities initiatives andprogress.
* Coordinate the collectionand compilation of board reports from variousdepartments.
RecordkeepingandDocumentation:
* Maintainaccurate and organised electronic and physical records ofboardrelated documents including meeting minutes resolutionspolicies and other governancematerials.
* Prepare and updateboardrelated documents such as board manuals policies andprocedures asneeded.
KeySkills and Attributes (Essential)
* Previousexperience as a Secretary/Board Administrator preferably within anotforprofit organization.
* Highlycompetent minute taker andwriter.
* Knowledge of the legislationand regulation required to governCharities/NFPs
* Ability to managesenior relations and conflictinginterests
* Experience of leading andmotivating a multijurisdictional multi specialistteam
* Ability to use initiative tomake informed judgements with limited supervision andguidance
* Excellent organisationaland time management skills
* Excellentwritten and oral communication skills attention to detail and ITliteracy
