This is the job As our Lead Data Scientist, you will lead the application of Data Science and AI within our Roadside Services business. By understanding our customer experience, cost, and revenue drivers, you will develop predictive analytics solutions and collaborate with business stakeholders to drive success. Collaborate with Roadside Breakdown stakeholders across B2B, B2C, and Roadside Operations to identify priority business opportunities. You will design and deploy data science and technology-based algorithmic solutions to support customer outcomes and address high-value business and systems problems using data analysis, data mining, optimization tools, and machine learning techniques. What will I be doing? Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with stakeholders across B2B, B2C, and Roadside Operations to identify and seize key business opportunities. Cutting-Edge Solutions: Design and implement state-of-the-art data science and algorithmic solutions to drive business success and enhance customer experiences. Solve Complex Challenges: Tackle high-value business and system problems using advanced data analysis, data mining, optimisation tools, and machine learning techniques. Rapid Prototyping: Develop and deliver quick prototypes to validate hypotheses, using tools like R, Python, and Spark. Integrate broader solutions to boost predictive capabilities, including LLMs and Agentic AI. Lead projects in segmentation, forecasting, and what-if simulations. Discover Insights: Uncover hidden trends and patterns in data to identify opportunities and assess business risks. Collaborative Development: Partner with engineers to transition models from proof of concept to production. Lifecycle Management: Oversee the model lifecycle, including data and model drift detection. Proactive Analysis: Suggest and present new analyses and insights, sharing best practices within the team and learning from external sources. Deliver Excellence: Ensure high-quality, insightful, and timely delivery of analytics projects, whether personally or through direct reports. Create and present bespoke analyses with clear, actionable conclusions. What do I need? Capability, Knowledge and Experience: Data Science Expertise: Significant experience in data science. Technical Proficiency: Skilled in programming languages including Python, R, and SQL. Statistical and Analytical Acumen: Solid understanding of statistical modelling, machine learning, and data visualization techniques. Advanced Technology Familiarity: Familiarity with big data frameworks and cloud services like Hadoop, Spark, AWS, and Azure is advantageous. Business Analysis: Proven track record of interpreting business challenges into analytical strategies and solutions. Communication Excellence: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, capable of simplifying complex data for diverse audiences.
