About this opportunity
We are looking for an Accountant to work for 15 hours per week on a temporary basis for 12 months to join our friendly, welcoming, and supportive Finance Team.
The Accountant will be part of the Financial Services team that provides transactional services including cash receipting and income management. The post will support the Technical Finance Officer – Banking and Income with preparation of VAT returns, bank reconciliations, control accounting, and miscellaneous account reconciliations.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person, with the drive and commitment to support the Council’s move towards its objective of becoming Financially Sustainable.
You should be a fully qualified AAT member with at least 5 years’ accountancy experience, preferably in Local Government or the Public Sector. You will be a problem-solver with attention to detail and the ability to work alone and as part of a team.
