Job Description
Job Purpose
To assist with the supervision of the restructuring and recovery process through from planning to review and completion.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain a portfolio of insolvency cases and ensure cases are efficiently and proactively progressed.
2. Participate in independent business reviews and other advisory work.
3. Liaise with appointee and other Evelyn Partners staff to ensure all are kept up to date with relevant issues.
4. Ensure staff are briefed and motivated to complete cases efficiently.
5. Review and supervise staff work and comment constructively on their performance.
6. Provide training to staff through on-the-job experience.
7. Ensure all work is reviewed and files are completed to a state suitable for review.
8. Identify opportunities where we may be able to provide further services.
9. Assist the partner/director in ensuring that stakeholder needs are met and that the range of our services is extended.
10. Exceed service level expectations of stakeholders where possible.
11. Attend marketing events where appropriate.
12. Review statutory documents for compliance with insolvency regulations and relevant standards.
13. Prepare case reviews and brief partners on work carried out and business issues.
14. Assist partners/directors to manage WIP and debtors on a client-by-client basis.
Qualifications
Key Skills and Experience
1. Substantial experience of corporate (administration/liquidation) insolvencies is necessary.
2. Knowledge of insolvency legislation and other statutory requirements.
3. Quick to learn and adapt to new procedures/situations.
4. Ability to organise and work on several different assignments simultaneously.
Professional Qualifications and Education
1. Ideally either a qualified accountant or JIEB.
