Long Term Futures is seeking a dedicated TA to support pupils in Key Stages 1 and 2 at a thriving school in Harrow (HA3). About the Role
This role involves working closely with teachers to support pupils' academic and personal development. You will assist with small group instruction, provide one-on-one tutoring, and help implement behaviour management strategies to ensure a structured and inclusive classroom. The school values progress monitoring and is dedicated to supporting all learners, including those with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Small Group Instruction: Support pupils in small groups to reinforce key learning concepts.
- One-on-One Tutoring: Provide tailored support to pupils who require additional assistance.
- Classroom Support: Work closely with the teacher to help deliver engaging lessons.
- Behaviour Management: Implement strategies to promote a calm and focused learning environment.
- Progress Monitoring: Track student development and provide feedback to teachers.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
- Skills: Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and small group instruction
- Attributes: Patient, proactive, and committed to supporting pupil development.
- Desirable: A relevant TA qualification or experience working with SEND pupils.
