As our Housing Manager, youll be the face-to-face customer support to our communities. This is the perfect job for you if you like variety and delivering excellent services to our customers and communities. It is an ideal job for someone who has a passion for income collection and sustaining tenancies. You may already have extensive experience as a generic Housing Manager or experience of income collection within another sector. Youll join our team with a real focus on arrears case management and sustaining tenancies. You will be supported by the wider housing management teams, Neighbourhood Assistants, Financial Inclusion Partners and Community Housing Assistants. Through visibility, engagement with customers and proactivity on our estates, youll really get to get to know our communities. This will help us to improve our local neighbourhoods. Typical day as a Housing Manager: Arrears and Income You will work through rent arrears cases for our general needs, shared ownership and leasehold customers covering our homes in Teesside, Durham & Sunderland and decide on the necessary course of action. You will work on specific campaigns to reduce arrears, such as targeted work with customers in a locality. You will work closely with our Financial Inclusion Partners and external partners to discuss rent accounts and to support customers to sustain their tenancies. Youll progress legal paperwork such as notices and prepare witness statements for rent arrears cases at court. You will also have involvement across our other housing management functions. Youll have an understanding of housing management, housing law, universal credit and housing benefit. You are fully competent in IT and can learn new systems quickly. Youre super organised and methodical in your approach and are a proactive self-starter with a can do positive attitude. Passionate about delivering excellent customer service and have a genuine desire to help your customers. This job can challenge, especially when were dealing with complaints, but your resilience will help you through. Confident working with external partners and stakeholders such as local authorities.
