Job summary Band 6 Physiotherapist - Respiratory Support Unit A great opportunity has arisen to join our team on the Respiratory Support Unit at Glenfield hospital. This role plays a key part in supporting patients with complex respiratory needs including non-invasive ventilation and tracheostomies. You will gain experience in complex airway management, complex discharges and be key in promoting patients recovery and rehabilitation. The role will also allow you to work closely with the MDT and gain skills in supervision and leadership. Main duties of the job You will be working alongside an established team of Physiotherapists to develop your clinical, leadership, teaching and service development skills whilst working within a supportive and motivated department. You will demonstrate effective communication, prioritisation and organisational skills within a large multidisciplinary team, whilst being responsible for managing a complex clinical caseload from assessment to discharge or transfer of care. You will receive regular supervision and appraisal and will actively be involved in service development, audit, research and evidence based practice.
