This role offers the opportunity to lead and develop a team of 5, provide structured training programs and to support team development and client engagement of financial services.

Key Responsibilities:
Delivering Accountancy and financial support and guidance to various clients and the business including:
1. Preparation of monthly management accounts
2. Tracking and managing accounts receivable and payable
3. Preparing cash flow statements and allocating payments
4. Handling VAT and tax returns
5. Conducting bank reconciliations
6. Providing financial reporting and analysis
7. Supporting the budgeting process and reviewing client financial reports
8. Resolving client and HMRC queries efficiently
Managing, Training, mentoring and leadership a team of 5, including:
1. Supervising and mentoring junior team members, offering training and clear reporting structures
2. Reviewing and providing feedback on work completed by junior staff
3. Managing and developing a team of accounting professionals, ensuring high performance and continuous development
4. Delivering training sessions and providing guidance to enhance team skills and efficiency
5. Organizing and leading structured training programs to nurture the next generation of accounting professionals
6. Supporting team development, client engagement, and business growth
Business development and new client generation:
1. Working within a number of existing customers, you will introduce accountancy practices, assist in the onboarding of new clients, and contribute to strategic business development
Experience and skills required:
1. Proficiency in Clearbooks and/or QuickBooks accounting software ideal but would consider other accounting software
2. At least five years' experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Accountant with responsibility for a full entity
3. A minimum of three years' experience in a senior or management position and able to provide a track record of this
4. Knowledge on accounting between the UK and EU members desirable
5. An analytical mindset with the ability to explain variances and solve problems effectively
6. Keen to assist with business development
7. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
8. Proficiency in Excel
9. Experience in training and developing a team
10. French language skills (desirable but not essential)
