Job Title: Principal Electrical Design EngineerLocation: GlasgowSalary: £53,000 - £63,600My client is a leading engineering consultancy, renowned for delivering high-quality Electrical Services Design solutions. They are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Services Design Engineer to join their team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to diverse projects and ensure excellence in design and implementation.Key Responsibilities:Electrical Services Design:- Contribute to the delivery of Electrical Services Design on assigned projects.- Maintain and enhance the quality and efficiency of design and post-contract implementation.Client and Team Interaction:- Represent the orgqanisation through direct client contact and collaboration with design team members.- Occasionally represent the company at meetings in both Electrical and Mechanical Services disciplines.Project Management:- Apply and enforce office procedures and basic engineering principles.- Manage multiple projects and oversee the work of Assistant and Apprentice Engineers.- Develop Concept Designs as part of the RIBA Stage 2 & 3 Design Process.- Prepare scheme design drawings from concept to detailed design.- Provide input to Stage 2 and 3 MEP Reports and understand the commercial framework for projects.Detailed Design (RIBA Stage 4):- Develop Electrical Services detailed design.- Oversee design work by junior engineering staff and ensure quality standards are met.- Understand project deadlines and client briefs.Software Proficiency:- Use CAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Amtech/Trimble, Dialux, PV Sol, Manual Calculations, Chorus, Word, and Excel.- Develop the abilities of Assistant and Apprentice Engineers in using these software packages.Qualifications and Experience:- Degree qualified and working towards chartered status.- Demonstrated success in a Graduate Electrical Engineer role.- Project management, delivery, and quality assurance skills.- Strong client-facing and interpersonal skills.- Initiative-driven with problem-solving abilities.- Valid UK Driving Licence (preferable) and willingness to travel for meetings and projects.Benefits33 days holiday, including public holidaysAdditional annual leave purchase scheme (up to 1 week)Long service holiday Salary exchange pension Pay for 1 professional membership per yearEmployee Share SchemeIf you would be interested in having a confidential chat regarding the role, please give me a call on 07389726803 or drop me a line at l.mcnamara2edenbrown.com.Eden Brown is committed to equality in the workplace and is an equal opportunity employer.
