Responsibilities
1. Provide vital support to the financial controller in reconciling financial records and performing bookkeeping tasks. (Such as posting journals, investigating aging balances, and reviewing bank reconciliations).
2. Support the financial controller in handling monthly and quarterly financial accounting tasks to ensure timely and accurate month-end closing.
3. Provide support to the financial controller in developing and implementing existing financial control processes, forecasting, and budgeting. This includes coordinating the formulation of business plans and budgets in collaboration with individual business units, as well as monitoring progress toward their achievement.
4. Ensure thepletion of the invoice processing and Accounts Payable-related tasks in a timely manner.
5. Reconcile the monthly AP/AR balance sheet.
6. Collaborate with the property services team to manage reporting and reconciliation related to rental properties.
7. Ensure thepletion of monthly scheduled payment runs.
8. Participate in the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for the Head Office.
9. Any others ad hoc projects.
10. Read and understand the Risk Management &pliance framework (and the policies referenced therein) and the UK Staff Handbook
11. Identify, report and escalate material risk events, including conduct risk events and conflicts of interest, or losses to the Senior Financial Controller or Head of Department;
12. Properly use of IT systems and of data, particularly personal data, in accordance with the IT Security Policy and the Data Protection Policy and any applicable departmental procedures
13. Any ad-hoc duties as required by the Head of Finance/Deputy head of finance
Requirements
14. Experience working at a similar level, within accounting, banking or auditing fields, preferably in the financial services sector
15. Highlypetent in time management and managing high volume of invoices and expense claims in a manual environment.
16. Good knowledge of reconciliation principles and basic accounting knowledge for accruals and prepayments processes
17. Good Knowledge of SAGE and exposure to VAT principles Excellent IT skills including MMS office and Excel
18. Ability to work in a flat structure and with different stake-holders within Finance and the Bank.
19. Proficiency for making financial evaluations and judgments and an ability to present rmendations, both oral and written
20. Excellent IT skills including MS office and Excel
21. Ability to work within a small team
