The Kitchen Porter will ensure that the kitchen, including all kitchen equipment and utensils, and outlying areas are thoroughly cleaned and maintained to the highest standard at all times.
The role operates on a shift-based
system including evening and weekend working in line with the seasonal needs of
the business.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* To ensure that the kitchen and wash up areas are clear all times and that all clean items are placed neatly in the appropriate place in the kitchen.
* Clear and wash up dishes and kitchen equipment as required
* Ensure that all kitchen equipment is thoroughly cleaned and stored in the correct manner so as to minimise breakages
* Ensure that all breakages and spillages are immediately cleaned up to prevent accidents
* Assist the Chefs with food preparation and food service as instructed
* General cleaning of the kitchen ensuring that the cleaning schedule is adhered to and that the highest level of health and hygiene standards are met at all times in line with company guidelines
* Ensure compliance, as appropriate to your role with relevant health & safety and equality of opportunity legislation as well as best practice as set out in the Company policies and procedures
* Any other duties as reasonably directed by the Head Chef or other member of the management team

* Proof of eligibility to work in the United Kingdom
