About the Role: We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to lead our civil engineering team in Chichester. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering solutions to our clients across various sectors.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the design and delivery of civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
* Develop efficient and sustainable engineering solutions through collaboration with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
* Prepare and review detailed design calculations, technical reports, and specifications for a range of civil engineering works.
* Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of site investigations and assessments.
* Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and support their professional development.
* Conduct site visits and attend project meetings to monitor progress and resolve any technical issues.
* Manage project budgets and ensure that all aspects of the project are delivered in accordance with client expectations.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, and health and safety requirements.
Requirements:
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards .
* A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
* At least 5-7 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong background in infrastructure, drainage, highways, and site development.
* Proven experience in project management, including overseeing budgets, schedules, and resources.
* Strong technical expertise in civil engineering design, with a working knowledge of relevant software tools.
* Experience in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design software.
* Knowledge of environmental sustainability and green infrastructure solutions.
* Experience in managing a team and providing leadership within a project environment.
Salary: £65,000 per annum.
