Our Client is a well-established manufacturer and installer of high-end automated gates. They are seeking a passionate, determined, and hungry Area Sales Manager to join a well-established, family-run SME headquartered in Andover. You will be responsible for driving new business across the North of England and managing existing accounts.
Your time will predominantly be spent out on the road attending appointments with both new and existing clients, and you will work remotely from your home office the rest of the time. You will be required to travel to the offices in Andover on occasion.
Key duties and responsibilities:
1. Develop, nurture, and grow existing clients.
2. Progress sales using the full spectrum of sales activities, including telesales, face-to-face, and virtual meetings.
3. Attend customers' premises to promote our products and grow opportunities.
4. Book your own appointments, as well as appointments organized by the internal team.
5. Generate your own leads to establish a pipeline of prospective customers.
6. Build and maintain a sales pipeline of new opportunities.
7. Provide technical advice on the manufacture of the products.
8. Reach out to and follow up with new customers to identify new viable sales opportunities, generating and completing sales leads, promoting the organization's values and commitment to customer satisfaction.
9. Follow all opportunities through to secured orders.
10. Use existing sales best practices to monitor the market, understand the competition, and continuously create a distinguished competitive edge.
11. Use existing and developed sales knowledge and expertise to convey the overall business goals and priorities into tangible sales results.
12. Analyze business KPIs and other data where targets are set for self, implementing well-considered strategies and changes to drive operational improvements and personal development.
13. Effectively communicate both internally and externally, promoting and advocating the brand at every opportunity.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Proven successful experience of at least 3 years as a successful Sales Executive.
2. Demonstrable passion and engagement with the ability to communicate in an understandable form to a variety of audiences.
3. Ideally, you will have an engineering or mechanical background.
4. Able to gain acceptance, motivate, persuade, and engage audiences in an agreed course of action where there may be significant barriers to overcome, including up-selling products.
5. Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how operational KPIs impact financial performance.
6. Clean UK Driving licence.
Working Conditions:
* Monday - Friday: 8 am - 4 pm
* Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 basic
