Role: Senior Business Development Manager (Technical sales)
Salary: Competitive salary (DOE), company bonus (20-60% of salary), private healthcare, pension, car allowance

Russell Taylor Group has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior BDM to join a growing division of a Global company, specializing in the sales of environmental testing of mechanical products. The purpose of this role is to grow this division and give it the attention it needs to flourish. The ideal individual must have experience in managing blue-chip key accounts and bringing in new business.
Responsibilities
1. Responsible for bringing in new business and managing established key accounts.
2. Build strong relationships with key decision makers.
3. Drive profitable sales.
4. Re-engage with dormant accounts.
5. Grow existing clients.
6. Gather and analyze market industry intelligence.
7. Identify early opportunities in the sales cycle.
8. Deliver business development presentations.
9. Negotiate and close business.
10. Represent the company to customers, vendors, and the public.
11. Conduct employee meetings and interact with sales teams, technical lab staff, and other areas of the business.
12. Follow up on quotations.
13. Identify full customer test needs.
14. Utilize CRM to record activities, ensuring it is up to date at all times.
The Person
1. A wealth of experience in business development and key account management in a technical sales role at a senior level.
2. Experience within Environmental testing/Mechanical/Aerospace industry or Hydrogen/Energy sector.
3. Passionate about science and willing to learn the technical elements of the job if needed.
4. A strong contributor to a winning culture.
5. Excellent negotiator.
6. Confident managing multi-million-pound accounts.
7. Willing to travel up to 75% of the time; overnight travel may be required. Most travel is situated around the Midlands area, but other areas include North West, Cumbria, North Wales, and South.
8. Willing to attend company events.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Ability to work under pressure and remain calm.
11. Ability to interface with clients, win new work, and determine their requirements.
12. Able to work independently.
