About the company:
Our client is a well-established and growing Fit-Out contractor looking to employ a Project Manager to join their company and progress within it.
Responsibilities:
1. Deliver fast track construction fit-out projects mainly across the retail, leisure, and hospitality industries, with contract values ranging from £300k to £2m.
2. Liaise closely with the purchasing department to order all materials, especially identifying long lead items.
3. Arrange for material/finishes samples to be presented to the client team as required.
4. Arrange and attend regular progress meetings and report minutes to the Contracts Manager.
5. Manage on-site trades to ensure collaboration and maintain good progress.
6. Be prepared to travel and stay away as required.
7. Manage up to 3 projects at a time.
8. Liaise closely with colleagues regarding joinery manufacturing progress and any FF&E required.
9. Ensure all joinery items are drawn and approvals are obtained.
10. Be the first contact for the client and their team.
11. Feedback variations to quoted sums as required.
12. Report delays caused by others and give details to the Contracts Manager.
13. Target all trades to complete their works in line with the contract programme.
14. Request and submit all certification, O&M information in a timely manner.
15. Liaise with the Principal Designer on CDM matters and Building Control throughout the project.
16. Obtain final Building Control certificate sign-off.
17. Supervise snagging in a timely manner and ensure the required quality is achieved.
The Successful Project Manager must have the following:
1. Experience as a Project Manager from a shopfitting or fit-out background. This may also be an opportunity for a Site Manager looking to step up into project management.
2. Fast track retail fit-out experience.
3. Previous experience of the above duties.
4. Knowledge of the Building Regulations.
5. Effective planning and programming experience.
6. Effective communication and written skills.
7. Prepared to work nationwide.
8. Financial and commercial awareness.
9. Must have a valid driver's license.
