An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Emergency Department (ED) for a Clinical Support Assistant.

Main duties of the job
You will be a competent and integral part of the team, supporting the medical and nursing staff in the Emergency Department in the provision of high quality, dignified and compassionate patient care.

Person Specification
Education
* Five GCSEs or Equivalent including Maths and English.
* Demonstrates willingness to undertake further education.
* Care certificate or NVQ level 3 in care subject.
* Extended skills relevant to role.
* Demonstrates good written communication.
* Demonstrates good verbal communication.
* Demonstrates patient advocacy and escalation of concerns.
Experience
* Recent experience of working in a healthcare setting.
* Proficiency in ECG recording, cannulation and venepuncture.
* Currently working as CSA in acute hospital setting.
* Currently/recently worked as band 3 HCA/CSA in ED.
* Experience in emergency care setting.
* Has undertaken further training in recognition of sick patient.
