Position Summary
The Regulatory Manager for Global Auto Care is responsible for building and maintaining a robust compliance program in Europe for our automotive Appearance, Performance and Air Freshener products, and setting the strategic regulatory vision to help enable and sustain product development and market growth.
Responsibilities
Universal Accountabilities
1. Represent Regulatory on cross functional product development and commercialization teams, providing expert guidance on local market regulatory requirements, risk assessments and strategies
2. Ensure local market compliance of new and existing products
3. Review and approve claims, packaging/labeling, and marketing communication materials (aligned within in-house process)
4. Remain current with emerging/changing regulations, interpret complex information and summarize impact for other functions/leadership teams, in a clear, concise and focused manner
5. Interact with industry trade groups and Regulatory authorities
6. Regulatory research
7. Maintain technical and safety documents as appropriate for internal and external stakeholders
Specific Accountabilities
8. Work collaboratively with Legal, R&D, Marketing, Packaging and Supply Chain teams to develop and implement robust regulatory strategies
9. Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Regulatory team processes to drive efficiency and enable product development timelines
10. Support implementation of digital transformation initiatives
11. Conduct raw material and formula reviews
12. Provide regulatory guidance text for local market labels
13. Provide required documentation to applicable agencies
14. Represent Energizer Global Auto Care as a subject matter expert in third party associations/committees/working groups
15. Safety Data Sheet creation
16. Chemical and Product registration
17. Chemical use advice to Research and Development during product formulation
18. Researching regulatory requirements
19. Support cross-functional teams to deliver strategic plans
20. Modification and maintenance of database for product information
21. Perform additional duties as assigned
What we are looking for
Required Skills and Experience
22. Excellent English fluency
23. BSc in a related field, with 5+ years of experience and understanding of safety data sheets and chemical formulations
24. Significant knowledge of chemicals regulations and Safety Data Sheets (Europe) pertaining to product ingredients, classification, labelling and packaging
25. Excellent communication both verbal and written, interpersonal and organizational skills
26. Detail oriented to produce accurate and timely results
27. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work independently
28. Ability to change focus quickly
29. Ability to apply general guidance to varied situations
30. Collaborative, team player
31. Proficient in Microsoft IT packages
32. Experience in consumer goods (preferably chemical)
33. Creative thinker
34. Willingness to learn and adapt
Working Relationships
35. Reports to Senior Regulatory Manager (in UK)
36. Leads two direct reports
37. Key relationships internally will include Regulatory & Government Affairs, Legal, Marketing, Research & Development, and Commercial teams.
38. External engagement with 3rd party consultants, and external suppliers.
Work Environment
39. Possible travel 2-4 times per year.
40. Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
