It represents dinghy and yacht racing, motor and sail cruising, RIBs and sportsboats, windsurfing, inland cruising and personal watercraft.
Racing Services Coordinator (Maternity Cover)
Salary: £27,500 per annum pro rata
Hours: 25 hours per week
Location: Hamble (Office based with potential for hybrid working)
Start date: January 2025 with the possibility of an earlier start

Are you passionate about supporting the sail racing community and providing exceptional service?
We are seeking a Racing Services Coordinator to join the RYA Racing Services Team, responsible for coordinating the development and maintenance of digital platforms and providing essential support for race officials, clubs, and sailors across the UK.
Your responsibilities as Racing Services Coordinator will include, but are not limited to:
1. Supporting the Racing Services Team with the coordination of digital support functions.
2. Assisting with the planning, organisation, and delivery of major domestic and international events.
3. Liaising with internal departments and external contractors to support RYA’s services.
4. Assisting with the collation and presentation of data relevant to racing services.
Who We’re Looking For:
1. A self-starter with exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and willing to learn the RYA’s database and website systems.
3. Strong communication skills (written and verbal), with accurate spelling and grammar.
4. Able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
5. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
1. Knowledge of sailboat racing and event organisation.
2. Experience with systems such as Microsoft Access and Dynamics.
3. Previous project management experience is a plus.
