As a Senior Care Assistant at Thorn Springs, kindness will be at the core of your work. It influences every aspect of our care. This role involves planning and delivering care that fosters residents' security, dignity, and independence. You will get to know residents and their families, ensuring personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you'll uphold high standards of care and positively influence your team. Whether demonstrating how to use a walking frame, assisting at mealtimes, or communicating with families, kindness is paramount. You will also facilitate social and recreational activities, administer medication, and maintain accurate records.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know the procedures to follow if concerns arise. All colleagues must attend safeguarding training relevant to their roles and pursue additional training as needed. You should be able to seek advice and escalate concerns appropriately.
