Job Overview
Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, the Quality Technicians are responsible for the monitoring and verification of all intakes, production and packing records. The role will include the sampling, testing and evaluation of raw materials, in process samples and finish products associated with the production of extruded pet foods. Working 1.45pm until 10pm Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
Raw Materials receipt and acceptance testing
Raising suppliers NC's where materials are outside of specification
Extrusion CCP and record verification including temperature and moisture analysis
Packing CCP, weight and record verification
Analysis of finish goods and reporting of results.
Raising product NC's where a product does not meet specification
Positive release of finish goods
Positive release on Tails products
Supporting Quality Supervisor with GMP and Glass Auditing
Supporting Quality Supervisor with Environmental testing and monitoring
Personal Competencies and Qualifications
* Experience in a Manufacturing, food processing or pharmaceutical environment preferably in a quality role
* Good standard of English both verbal and written
* Good understanding of Food Safety and HACCP
* Self-motivated individual with good initiative, attention to detail & good time management skills
* A demonstrated numerical ability to record, interpret and analyse key process data
* Computer literate with a good understanding of the Microsoft Office suite
