Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available This Senior Project Manager role sits within the SSEN Transmission (SSENT) Offshore Team and will involve you in a number of complex and challenging projects SSEN Transmission is to develop and deliver within the coming years. The scale of our portfolio of projects is already large and is likely to grow in the coming years, meaning there will likely be opportunities for progression within the business. Reporting to the Deputy Project Director you will be responsible for supporting the development and management of projects across the Offshore Portfolio with a focus on ensuring consistency and timely delivery of Projects in line with SSEs Large Capital Project Governance Framework. You will work closely with package teams across the portfolio as well as stakeholders across the business to ensure effective communication and collaboration. The key duties and responsibilities of this role includes: - Project Integration Management: Oversee the integration of various project and packages ensuring consistency and timely delivery of Projects to meet SSEs Large Capital Project Governance Framework requirements to progress through decision gates. - Stakeholder Coordination: Ensure effective communication and collaboration among all stakeholders to facilitate and ensure readiness for decision gates. - Compliance & Governance: Act as a SME for Governance and Assurance capability and support project activities in compliance with internal governance requirements. - Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor performance against established milestones and deliverables. Prepare and present regular progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting any issues or risks that may impact project delivery. - Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project delivery and efficiency. This includes staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments and incorporating relevant insights into project management practices. What do I need? To be considered for this Senior Project Manager position we are looking for an experienced leader with demonstrable experience in managing technically complex large capital projects, ideally with specific knowledge of electricity networks and converter stations. We would therefore love you to have: - People management experience and a passion for safety, with an understanding of project management methodology; coupled with an engineering, construction, or project management qualification / degree or equivalent experience. - Ability to manage the integration of various projects, packages and, stakeholders to ensure consistency and timely delivery of Projects to meet SSEs Large Capital Project Governance Framework requirements. - Experience in acting as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders involved in the project, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among all parties. - Engineering or construction knowledge and understanding, including the associated environmental and safety legislation e.g. the CDM 2015 regulations. - Experience of the governance, reporting, and management requirements for large projects and/or programmes of work in a regulated environment.
