Occupational Therapy in Walsall: BSc Occupational Therapy Degree Apprentice - Ref: SS07424 Apprenticeship payment: £12 per hour (National Living Wage) Following new investment in Occupational Therapy in Adult Social Care in Walsall we are looking for 2 aspiring Occupational Therapists to join our apprenticeship scheme. Working alongside the University of Wolverhampton we are offering a 3 year fixed-term apprenticeship. The apprenticeship is a full-time role. You will be working as part of the Reablement and Prevention and Early Intervention teams in our Pathway to Independence Service alongside qualified Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants. University attendance will be one day per week plus 4 placements across the 3 years: 1 placement of 7 weeks in year 1 2 placements of 6 weeks each in year 2 1 placement of 7 weeks in year 3 About you: You will be passionate about pursuing a career in Occupational Therapy. You will have a good knowledge of Occupational Therapy and the scope of the profession. You will have some experience of working with adults and/or children with care and support needs, either in paid employment or in a voluntary capacity. You will have an understanding of the role of the HCPC. You will meet the entry requirements for the degree course, i.e. GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or equivalent GCSE in Science at Grade C/4 or a similar higher level qualification, for example a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care. 104 UCAS points made up in any way.
