A successful and well established incoming Destination Management Company is seeking a Business Development Executive to join their friendly and busy team in London.
This successful DMC offers comprehensive ground handling services in London and throughout the UK and Ireland for special interest groups, FIT, Conferences and Incentives.
Responsibilities:
1. Acknowledge and qualify all new requests from new leads and existing clients.
2. Identify the most suitable products for the client to create the most effective and competitive offer.
3. Ensure all offers are sent out in the company standard format and entered correctly into the operational system.
4. Ensure that your offer reflects what the client wants without compromising on quality of services and price of the offer.
5. Proactively follow up on all offers according to guidelines received during training and option deadlines.
6. Maintain good relationships with all clients and ensure quotes are prepared accurately and promptly.
7. Take responsibility for placing the groups in the right hotels based on the accepted offer, program, and quotation.
8. Ensure a full end over to OPS once the hotel placement is contracted and signed, in a reasonable time for OPS to finalize remaining services.
9. Constantly update the groups in the system with all correct information and services confirmed.
10. Research prospective clients suitable to our business model, dividing them by generic touring groups, special interest, educational, series.
11. Keep abreast of competitors, their clients, suppliers, and offerings.
12. Deal with complaints and emergencies professionally, liaising with operations colleagues.
13. Build relationships with suppliers and ensure your product knowledge is kept up to date.
14. Hold an emergency phone during weekends, according to your department rota.
15. Organize and participate in familiarization trips to win or facilitate bookings.
