SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant specialising in challenging behaviours to join our primary school in Hackney, London. In this part-time position, you will collaborate with teachers to support Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students, implementing effective behaviour management strategies to foster a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in developing and implementing individualised behaviour management plans
• Provide one-on-one and group support to students exhibiting challenging behaviours
• Employ evidence-based techniques to promote positive behavioural changes
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Collaborate with staff and parents to create a cohesive support network.
Application Requirements
• Proven experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, particularly with challenging behaviours
• Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and SEN best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain patient and adaptable in a dynamic educational setting.
