Job Title: Interim Financial Controller

Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum

About the Role
Elevation Recruitment Group is currently working on behalf of a leading manufacturing business seeking an experienced and qualified Interim Financial Controller. This role will be pivotal in overseeing the financial operations of the business during a period of transition, with specific responsibility for costing and financial control within the manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive financial control experience, with a strong background in manufacturing finance and costing processes. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting while driving improvements in cost control and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and review management accounts, forecasts, and budgets, with a specific focus on manufacturing costings.
* Oversee the costing process, ensuring accurate cost allocation and inventory valuation.
* Lead a team of four, fostering a high-performance culture within the finance function.
* Monitor cash flow and manage working capital to ensure the business meets its operational requirements.
* Provide strategic financial insights to senior management, with a focus on cost control and financial efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
* Manage relationships with auditors during the year-end audit process.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial controls and reporting efficiency.
* Lead and manage month-end and year-end financial processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Skills & Experience
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
* Proven experience in a Financial Controller role, within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing costings, inventory valuation, and cost control.
* Excellent knowledge of financial reporting and management accounting processes.
* Ability to analyse complex financial data and provide actionable insights to the business.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Advanced knowledge of financial software and Microsoft Excel.
* Strong communicator, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence senior stakeholders.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
