We are looking for a dedicated Quality Control Inspector to join a leading aerospace organisation in Wimborne, on a permanent basis. Providing critical inspection of aerospace components to ensure they meet the highest industry standards.
As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for the quality inspection of detailed aerospace parts in accordance with design data. You will perform various inspections, manage non-conformance reports, and contribute to our culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inspect detailed parts according to design specifications.
2. Perform product Stage and Final Inspections.
3. Create First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) and prepare associated documentation packs (VISUAL FAIR and/or AS9102).
4. Maintain supplier and reject logs.
5. Conduct Good Inwards Inspection and maintain accurate data entry and administration.
6. Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and conduct investigations using problem-solving tools (5 Whys, Ishikawa, 8D's), including Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPAs).
7. Manage and use calibrated measuring equipment, as well as operate CMM and laser tracking.
8. Support relevant functions and encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
9. Complete other work-related tasks as reasonably required.
Personal Requirements:
1. Experience: Previous experience in an Aerospace environment is preferred.
2. Standards: Experience working within ISO9001 and AS9100 approved organisations.
3. Qualifications: Recognised qualifications or relevant experience in Manufacturing and Quality Management Systems is desirable.
4. Technical Skills: Experience with CMM and laser tracking is highly desirable.
5. Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and a methodical approach to tasks.
6. Problem-Solving: Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and accurately record information.
7. Communication: Good oral and written communication skills.
8. Teamwork: A good team player with a flexible attitude towards workload.
9. Safety-Conscious: A strong safety-first mindset.
10. Independence: Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
