We're looking for a resourceful & well-connected Senior Sales Manager in the Travel Industry sector to join our team as a full-time employee, to support the incredible growth journey we are on.
Summary of the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Sales Manager to support our exciting growth trajectory, leading our business development efforts in the travel vertical. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in business development and sales in Travel Tech/SaaS/AdTech/Media and a strong network of contacts in the industry, namely within Marketing & E-commerce departments of OTAs, TOs and Airlines.
(Good understanding of Media & Advertising is a strong plus.)
You’ll be working alongside the Director of Business Development enabling new discussions with the marketing, e-commerce, retail media, and partnerships teams of prospects across the Travel vertical, owning the sales cycle end to end. This is an exciting opportunity to work across the top travel brands globally, collaborate with Platform 195’s leadership, and contribute to our company's growth and success.
What we’re looking for:
* 5 Years+ in sales/business development experience.
* Experience & good knowledge of the tech, mar-tech, retail media, or e-commerce tech space in Travel.
* A strong network of contacts in top travel brands, including potential clients, partners, and influencers, (OTAs, TOs and/or Airlines).
* You've likely worked previously in an ad-tech/mar-tech/travel tech company, media monetization solution, or travel meta-search, Bed Bank, in a Business Development or Sales Role.
* Dynamic and eager approach to developing new sales leads and always securing new discussions.
* Beyond your network, your are not afraid and you are confortable and skilled in cold outreach via email and linkedin in order to get the first meeting and progress deals.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and solutions clearly and compellingly.
* You are good at sales copy writting to craft the ideal intro or follow up email or linkedin message.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
* Proven ability to build and nurture long-term client relationships, driving customer satisfaction and loyalty.
* Curious Mind, open to feedback & always eager to learn.
* Languages: English fluent (excellent writing skills required) and other languages highly appreciated (namely French, German or Spanish)
Your role & responsibilities:
* Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth and expand our client base in the travel sector
* Identify and prioritise target accounts, leveraging existing industry knowledge and networks to establish meaningful connections with key stakeholders.
* Act as a trusted advisor to prospects, understanding their unique business objectives and challenges, to identify business opportunities.
* Drive the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and deal closure.
* Collaborate closely with our product & implementation team to develop compelling sales collateral, presentations, and proposals that showcase our expertise and value proposition, and support the first stages of implementation.
* Populate and update on an ongoing basis company CRM for pipeline management and activity reporting.
* Ability to work closely with the marketing team to craft inspiring and relevant content to enable prospects to move across the sales funnel and to capture inbound leads.
* Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities, providing valuable insights and recommendations to inform our sales and marketing strategies.
* Cultivate strong relationships with industry influencers, trade associations, and other relevant organizations to enhance our visibility and reputation within the clean energy and sustainability space.
* Represent Platform195 at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to promote our brand and forge new business partnerships.
