An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Haematologist with a myeloid and myeloproliferative disorders interest, to join our friendly and enthusiastic team at UHDB.
In-patient therapies are provided on a dedicated, 18 bedded, haematology ward, providing BSH level 2b care, including induction treatment and salvage therapies for AMLs and high-grade lymphomas. We have our own Acute Unit for unwell patients (CTAU) run by advanced clinical practitioners with medical supervision and shared with Oncology.
Our department currently accommodates 4 specialist Registrars from the East Midlands Deanery and 3 specialty Doctors. We have also an established teaching program for medical students from the University of Nottingham and overseas.

The successful candidate will join the myeloid service at UHDB, be actively involved in service development through innovation, restructure and expansion of clinical trials and access to novel therapies.
This is a full-time post based at the Royal Derby Hospital, but any candidate who wishes to work less than full time will be considered and supported, taking into account service needs. Due to the Trust being a merged organisation there is a requirement to work across other sites.

This is a replacement post for a Consultant Haematologist to develop our service across our hospital sites therefore we would welcome candidates who would like to develop a sub-specialist interest.
