This role will be based out of our High Wycombe site, working as part of Synergy’s Customer Service team.
Involved in all aspects of Import and export operations communication and the ability to work quickly and accurately is essential to deliver excellence to our customers.
The role is varied with freight being moved between locations worldwide in a fast- moving environment under time pressures.
The import/export administrator will be responsible for ensuring the business complies with HMRC regulations.
Facilitating internal control, training, audits, and compliance related activities.
* Objectives, Roles and Responsibilities
* Plans and oversees the flow of goods for international and domestic traffic
* Production of all necessary export paperwork and product declarations, filing tariffs, bills of lading, licence agreements
* Coordinates paperwork and documentation necessary to comply with customs regulations
* Identification of most efficient export routes.
* Export declaration.
* Import declarations.
* Resolves customs delays / issues.
* Maintain all necessary customs records.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skill and Experience (Required to perform the job)
Essential
* Experience working with Import/Export regulations & requirements
* Excellent verbal & written communication skills
* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
* Thorough knowledge of shipping regulations and policies
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Strong analytical and problem- solving skills
* Proficient with Microsoft office suite or related software
* Minimum 5 GCSEs
Desirable
* Knowledge/experience of ERP
* DG trained / experience
