You will work as part of our team of experienced Occupational Therapists, Assistant Practitioners and Assistants to assess and treat adults with a range of conditions within their own homes. The wider North Occupational Therapy Team will support the post holder. The post holder will work under the direction and supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist and be expected to work under their own initiative to manage a non-complex caseload of community patients appropriate to the role. Main duties of the job As a Band 4 OTAP under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist you will be expected to work on your own and as part of a team focusing on excellent quality patient care including formulating treatment goals and identifying rehabilitation plans. You will be required to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, show initiative and team spirit as well as be committed to patient care. You will be flexible and able to work in a variety of locations in North Staffordshire, as the service requires. An understanding of assessment and rehabilitation appropriate to the role is essential as are good IT skills, knowledge and understanding of criteria for equipment provision.
