About The Role
We are currently looking for a productive, accurate and proactive individual to fulfil a crucial role in our support staff within our Dispute Resolution team.
Based in our Worcester HQ or Birmingham office and reporting to the Legal Support Manager, you will provide in-depth business support to the fee earners within the team. As a Senior Legal Support Assistant, you will be able to work independently and take on responsibilities including deputising, if appropriate, for the Legal Support Manager. You will also support the implementation of technology or systems changes and act as a coach for more junior members of the team. This role would best suit someone with a flair for PA duties.
The Senior Legal Support Assistant role objective is to work in collaboration with the Legal Support Manager to foster a culture of continuous improvement in the team. Your responsibilities would include:
* Drafting and formatting of letters, documents, and forms.
* Being a first point of contact for any administrative and business support requirements for fee earners, anticipating the team's needs where possible.
* Assisting with the preparation of all financial transactions as required.
* Proactive diary management for allocated fee earners, including making travel arrangements.
* Being a first point of contact for clients and to housekeep your fee earner's inbox.
* Managing the file opening process for the team, including conducting ID checks and conflict checks.
* Working with the Legal Support Manager, supporting the implementation of new technology, systems or process changes.
* Acting as a role model for the legal support team, coaching more junior members and supporting the induction of new members to the team.
About You
As a Senior Legal Support Assistant you will have:
* Experience within a legal or professional services environment.
* Experience in case management systems would be desirable.
* Sound IT knowledge; including Microsoft Office suite and Teams.
* Demonstrated history within administrative or PA role.
* Excellent attention to detail in all aspects of your work, with confident typing abilities.
* Strong communication and organisation skills.
